How does root.lu select the right connectivity partner?

In 2008, the management of root.lu quickly recognized the value of TERALINK services and the necessity to dip into them without delay in order to gain a share in the global Internet Service Provider market and to sustain business growth from Luxembourg.

With a growth rate of 75 new servers/month, it was decided to invest into the availability of very high speed redundant and resilient Internet IP Transit of at least 1Gbps.

Several "Backbone providers" present in Luxembourg were consulted.

As a result of a period of negotiations, the management of root.lu selected TERALINK, powered by P&TLuxembourg.

In July 2008, P&TLuxembourg received the first 1Gbps connection order from Steinsel to Frankfurt. In October a second order was placed for another 1 Gbps connection to London.
